Between insanity and normality.
I like it better that way.
Between running outside in the middle of a thunderstorm to clean off my window so I could take some decent video to spending three hours in the Cingular Store to pick out a cell phone... That's on the line of insanity.
However I did get one of those new fangled cellular telephones. And it rocks. Or at least everything about it rocks except the talking part. Insanity, again.
This nifty phone does pretty much everything. It includes a two megapixel camera (pictures coming up), good MP3 player, some sweet headphones that won't stay in my ears because they're funny shaped, and an unlimited Internet plan. I use it as a modem for my Mac so I can use the Internet anywhere I get cell service. Yeah, that's pretty darn cool.
That Stephanie girl. Man. She rocks. You should meet her. She's going to kill me for putting those pictures on here too.
Pictures are worth a thousand words, so a picture that's made of three different shots must be worth three thousand. Here are several words worth of pictures now (because my writing is... umm... terrible at the moment)(and i'm tired)
At least at the present. And oh, my head hurts. A whole lot. But I am still alive.
Maybe you're asking what I've been doing. Honestly, I don't remember. But I did design a totally kickin' website that I'm going to post somewhere soon. And... uh... when was the last time I blogged?
I don't even remember.
I'm getting a new MacBook. Whenever it shows up I guess. No one at Apple seems to have any idea where it is. Their shipping department is on crack. But I guess such things are to be expected. My MacBook is still the greatest laptop ever, when it works. (I decided mine was just a lemon, and that I was just lucky)
What else?
I fixed my PC. Really fixed. The best it's been since I bought it almost four years ago. It's running Ubuntu 7.04 (beta something) and it runs really nice. I even got the wifi and the video card to work.
OH!
I have this amazing idea for a story, but I just can't seem to begin it right. Basically it's like this. There are four kinds of people. People A live in dimension A and understand each other correctly and see each other correctly. People B live in dimension B and also see and understand each other just dandily. People A and B can't see both dimensions though. People C, however, can. But they can only understand other Cs. They don't really know what B or A are saying. Ds can see and understand everyone, but can't give anyone any information except other Ds.
I haven't really come up with any sort of plot yet, but it's usually better that way.
My head hurts less! I'm going to go cross post my idea on my MyGaySpace.
Happy Christmas. (War is Over)
Anyhow, it's Christmas Eve. My MacBook charger is dead. I'm computerless and Internetless and it's quite depressing. Just a bit because it's Christmas and all. So anyway, the charger is called a Magsafe, and it developed a whole right next to the end piece that goes into the computer. So, upon further examination, the wire inside completely seperated, preventing any charge from going to my computer, thus rendering my comptuer powerless.
It sucked.
Still sucking.
Happy Christmas!
The last few days of writing my blog, I hadn't been in the best mood when I got to the actual writing of my blog. Being in a much better mood today, I think I'll try again. Even if Aunt Sissy liked the seventeen seconds thing.
First let me explain seventeen seconds thing. Radiohead, a band I've recently taken a liking too (thanks Vinny!) has an album called Kid A. Some one was playing this wonderful weird album on two different players and managed to get a seventeen second gap in between the first playing and the second. This produces one of the creepiest effects ever, and it most definitely one of the more amazing things I've ever done, especially audio wise. You should definitely steal buy this album just to do it. I'm sure that this works on lots of albums as well, and definitely adds to my subliminal messages theories.
I am in a much better mood today. Not that I was in a really bad mood before, I'm just in my normal extra happy mood tonight. In health class today (I was seventeen seconds ahead!) I participated in a skit. (I just Googled for the script but I can't find it) Anyway it was pretty lousily written, but my hilarious acting made it better. It was pretty amazing. I got to be this suicidal guy and my acting was histaricle. Could not keep a straight face. I wish i had a video. Sure suicide is a real issue, but if you would've been there, you would've laughed histarically.
Hmm... Is there anything else? Oh yes.
Ten year old Apple Computer are still viable in todays world. I managed to get a web server, a file sharing server between my MacBook and it, and a VNC remote desktop connection thing. I even found a way to hook four computer up to two monitors with switching wires around. And then when we finish the basement, I can hook most of them up down there. Anyway, dinner is done (we're at Dairy Queen again) and my battery is dying (4%, about eight minutes worth) and I have finished writing this blog. Now just to post it and say goodbye to the people on my buddy list.
17 Seconds Apart:
- From the first loop to the second loop.
- Behind my math teacher.
- Ahead of my health teacher.
- Ahead of dell.
- Separating this century from the last.
- From the rest of humanity.
- From my MacBook would kill me.
- From totally bursting into fits of laughter.
- To not spontaneously combusting.
- To totally not writing about job shadowing because i don't feel like it.
- To spellchecking this blog.
- To posting this blog.
- To posting pictures to my Flickr.
Back... What a neat word. It's not a lot of ugly English words like seven or thrifty. The point is that I made it back to write a blog again. That's a rare occurance these days, but then again, these are strange days. So what should this blog be about...
"So Flower Power Didn't Work, So What"
That's one of the greatest quotes of all time. Thank you John Lennon. We love you.
Topic is Life, Love, and Burst Heating. All the credit for that goes to Sean. First is life. People ask how it goes. I can safely answer, it goes. It goes very well most days, especially Thursdays and Fridays. And Saturday. Sunday somewhat. The next bit is credited to Elyssa for inspiration.
My mission is to be a soldier. I must make it out of the freshman cage alive. Being a freshman in high school isn't that bad, the only bad part is the freshman accademy. I love my freshman friends, but being locked up with them in class all day and only seeing anyone else about two hours a day (plus band) is quite strange. Heck, we even get a seperate break now. (I call it the freshman prison break) Thank God I like my cell mates.
I love my MacBook, does that count?
Burst heating. Now I must tell you about a wonderful conversation I had with Sean one day. Before our first parade, he was nervous. He looked at me and said, do you prefer burst heating or a steady stream. This being an interesting question, I had to answer that I prefered burst heating most of time. Keep your heating costs down. What do you think.
If you could only save one thing in a house fire (thing, not person), what would it be and why?
Submitted by donnunn.
If I had to save one thing in my house from fire, it would be my MacBook. Not only is it the nicest, most expensive thing in my possession, but it also has all the family pictures on it. 2200 of them... Now i have to make remote backups, thanks Question of the Day!
It's always been said that the third time is a charm. The person who said that is totally irrelevant, but this is the third time I've had to return to blogging. Of course, I've never really gone anywhere, but there hasn't been any real new content from the Kuyu Content in several months. You might say there hasn't been much since the whole Kuyu Gamma thing started. I know I've said it before, but this time I swear that I'm back.
If you have no idea who I am or why you are reading this, then let me say hello. I'm Kuyler McComas, and I used to be a serious blogging machine. Times changed and I sort of got totally rapped up in changing how the blog worked and the Content Posting bit than the actual blogging part. Now I've figured out that it's really a lot more fun to write a blog than it is to make one work. I moved to Vox and now I've decided to just write and let it do it's own thing. If none of this sounds particularly entertaining to you, then you may want to check out my first blog posts ever. There was lots more introduction there. http://kuyman.blogspot.com/2005_02_01_kuyman_archive.html. You may also want to read on, but you could just read my profile there, I haven't had much time to update the one here on Vox. My interests have change, and I'm six inches taller and now have an obsession with Apple Computers and Blogging, but I'm still the same person that you can read about for over a year at Blogger.
On Monday, KuyuCast Episode 1 will be released. Who participates in this wonderful show is still to be announced, but currently it looks like it will be my friends Vinny, Luke, and Allie. Vinny and I will be on my MacBook, controlling the show. Allie and Luke will be joining us via telephone. (Oh the miracles of Voice over IP.) Since my MacBook has been repaired, there is no need to worry about it crashing during the middle of recording a show, as it often did before when I was trying to record a show with Allie.
If you're knew, make sure you listen to the first five minutes of my podcast. If you like it, you are perfectly welcome to stay and listen, and if you think it stinks, you can leave. I hope you like it.
